Holmium pulsed fiber laser has a full fiber optical circuit and operates in the mode of passive Q-switching. The device emits a spectral line in the mid-infrared region of the optical spectrum. The working wavelength of laser radiation is 2100 nm. Peak optical power is 5 kW. Pulse duration is 20 ns. Rational, economically promising technical solution was applied during the development of this laser source. There are no expensive acousto-optical modulators, fiber-optic laser combiners, expensive pumping of holmium optical fiber based on a thulium fiber laser in the device. This made it possible to abandon laser diodes emitting at a wavelength of 793 nm, which significantly reduces the cost of manufacturing.
